New look for Google Analytics

Posted May 14th @ 9:24 pm by Brett

Last week Brett Crosby and Jeff Veen at the Emetrics Summit in San Francisco, launched the new look Google Analytics. I have already checked this out and I’m still undecided on the dumbed down interface.

So what is different?

apart from the interface, website owners to find and share the data more easily. Great for massive businesses that need this (minor segment) The new version has made the data all pretty and apparently in context. This really means data mining which you could do with the old version.

  • Schedule or send ad-hoc personalized report emails and export reports in PDF format.
  • Custom Dashboard: No more digging through reports. Put all the information you need on a custom dashboard that you can email to others.
  • Trend and Over-time Graph: Compare time periods and select date ranges without losing sight of long term trends.
  • Contextual help tips: Context sensitive Help and Conversion University tips are available from every report.

So have a look at the new look Google Analytics, still one the best stats packages available… now with bonus “pretty”
